The Ambassador Theatre Group, a global theater firm headquartered in the UK with operations Britain, Germany, and the US, and Jujamcyn Theatres, a theater operator and producer in the US,

Jujamcyn is the third largest theater proprietor on Broadway, behind the Schubert Group and the Nederlander Group, and owns 5 of the 41 Broadway homes. The 5 are the St. James Theatre, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre ((previously the Martin Beck Theatre), the August Wilson Theatre (previously the Virginia Theatre), the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, and the Walter Kerr Theatre (previously the Ritz Theatre).

In the meantime, Ambassador, which manages greater than 50 theaters and one cinema, owns the Ambassadors, Apollo, Victoria, Duke of York’s Fortune, Harold Pinter, Lyceum, Phoenix, Piccadilly, and Savoy theaters within the West Finish.

Mark Cornell, the present head of the Ambassador Theatre Group, will run the mixed operation whereas impresario Jordan Roth, who owned Jujamcyn, will sit on the board and be the only largest shareholder of the brand new firm.

“We’re delighted to be combining our operations with Jujamcyn,” Cornell mentioned in an announcement. “Our mixed experience and capabilities will allow producers and different creatives to deliver their visions to life and create the unimaginable for our audiences.”

The deal is topic to regulatory approval and monetary phrases of the deal weren’t disclosed.
